Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Receives Members of Administration of King Salman Chair for Studies of Makkah History

Riyadh,  SPA :

 The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Yamamah palace here yesterday, the members of the Administration of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Chair for Studies of Makkah History at Umm Al-Qura University, led by the Rector of Umm AlQura University Dr. Bakri bin Matouk Asas, and Advisor at the Royal Court and Acting Secretary General of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Sammari.

 During the reception, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques stressed the importance of attaching great attention to Makkah history and documenting it, pointing to the great responsibility of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the country of the Two Holy Mosques, the cradle of Revelation and the Prophet's message, and that the title of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is a great honor to him and a great responsibility.

 After that, the Rector of Umm AlQura University delivered a speech in which he stressed that the care being accorded by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the publications of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Chair of Studies of Makkah History embodies his interest in cultural and historical affairs.

 He pointed out that Umm AlQura University is honored, on this occasion, to present as a gift to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the first set of versions of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Chair of Studies of Makkah History in recognition of his interest in the history of this holy land.

 After that, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received the first set of versions of the Chair as a commemorative gift on this occasion.

 The audience was attended by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban and Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir.
