Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, Minister of Culture and Information and Chairman of the Executive Council of the International Islamic News Agency (IINA), announced here yesterday a transformation of the International Islamic News Agency (IINA) into a Federation of the News Agencies of the
Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in accordance with the resolutions issued by the Islamic Conference of the OIC Information Ministers hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 21, December, 2016, under the theme ‘Renewed Media in the Face of Terrorism and Islamophobia’.
This came during the 25th session of the IINA General Assembly in presence of Dr. Al-Awwad, OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen and members of the OIC General Assembly.
