In a speech addressing the 5th session of the Council of Governors of the Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held in Vienna from 10 June through June 14 on verification and monitoring of Iran activities, the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia, urged the international community and inspectors of the Agency to release further information related to Iran's nuclear activities and to intensify inspection within Iran to identify any sites likely to be used by the outlawed country to carry out undeclared nuclear activities, that may target the security and peoples of the States of the region, and to take the necessary measures to ensure that Iran is not able to develop techniques that may be used for military purposes.
The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the International Organizations in Vienna, Counselor Yahya Shraheli, said that the peoples of the region do not need nuclear weapons to achieve security, stability, peace and development rather than they need to cooperate and build confidence and good-neighborliness and use their resources for the well-being and development of their peoples.
He stressed that the international community can not ignore the true nature of Iran's intentions, which is evident by its aggressive behavior towards the countries of the region, in view of its hostile policy and tendency towards expansion and hegemony, its testing of ballistic missiles and the development of other military systems.
