Crown Prince chairs cabinet meeting

Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense,
chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon.

Briefed on a number of reports on the latest developments and situations in the region
and the world, the Cabinet expressed its appreciation for the decisions taken by the
Arab League Council at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs in its emergency
meeting to discuss the developments of the Palestinian issue, stressing the appeal of  
Arab foreign ministers for further efforts by the United States to resume the track of
Palestinian-Israeli negotiations and to oblige the Israeli side to comply with  its
commitments and obligations to the peace process in accordance with the agreed
timetable.

The Cabinet expressed concern of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the deterioration of
human rights situation in a number of countries around the world, including the
continuing human rights violations in Syria, the deterioration of the human rights
situation in Rakhine state with Muslim majority in Myanmar, and the current crisis in
the Central African Republic resulted in food crisis that affected about a third of the
population. The cabinet appealed to the international community to assume its
responsibilities to stop these crimes against humanity in these territories and to hold
accountable those responsible, and the importance of concerted international efforts to
deliver humanitarian aid to the needy people.

The cabinet was also briefed on a report by the Minister of Health on the status of the  
Corona virus and reassured on the health situation in this regard.
