CEO of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Foundation (MiSK) Dr. Badr Al-Badr – during his participation in a panel discussion that was organized today as part of the 2nd Global AI Summit currently held at the King Abdul Aziz International Conference Center in Riyadh – has stressed that MiSK works on programs to teach AI. He added that the leadership program at the foundation seeks to develop leaders for 2030 to ensure seizing all benefits and avoid shortcomings, adding that AI has reached an advanced stage in our daily lives and is considered among the deepest technologies.
He noted that leaders have a collective responsibility in guaranteeing the safety and maximizing the benefits for clients, calling on all leaders to be up on the responsibility through enhancing the use of AI and guaranteeing the protection of beneficiaries from some bias points that might be integrated in the used system.
Al-Badr pointed out that we today are witnessing several applications that sort CVs for thousands of job applicants, where AI can sort and reduce the number of applicants so that humans can be able to conduct interviews.
He also praised the success of the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) in managing all aspects related to combating the COVID-19 pandemic, stressing that these efforts are a source of pride.
