“Mawani”, MARASI” Sign Agreement to Establish Seafarers Club in the Kingdom's ports
Riyadh, SPA:  The General Authority for Ports (Mawani) and “MARASI MARINE Service Co. today sealed an agreement to establish a Seafarers Club at Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and Ras Tanura Port, aimed at providing housing and entertainment services for the crews of local and international ships and international shipping lines and raising the added value of the services provided to shipping lines companies and their ships’ crews in Saudi ports.
The agreement was signed by President of Mawani Omar bin Talal Hariri and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Marasi Talal bin Othman Al-Hamdan.
The Seafarers Club will have various amenities including a hotel, call centers, cafes, entertainment halls, multiple restaurants, a food commodity store, and a health club.
The club provides exchange and banking services and includes entertainment halls, places to provide integrated pharmaceutical and medical services, and a service center while keeping abreast of all new developments in this field.
Mawani has been working steadily to strengthen the position of Saudi ports as a part of the Kingdom’s National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
The authority follows a vision that corresponds to the importance of creating an appropriate social environment that allows the development of its operational opportunities, encouraging a healthy lifestyle and improving the quality of life within a vibrant port community that enhances opportunities to attract regional and international companies to local investment.
