Vice Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques chairs cabinet meeting

Jeddah - SPA

Vice Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques chaired cabinet meeting held today in Jeddah.
Upon review of reports on the recent regional and international developments, the
cabinet expressed concern over the developments in Iraq. They are the result of the
sectarian and exclusionary policies during the last couple of years that threatened the
country's security, stability and sovereignty.

The cabinet stressed the need to maintain Iraq sovereignty, unity and integrity.
Rejecting any interference in its internal affairs, the cabinet urged all spectrum of
the Iraqi people to start necessary procedures that ensure genuine participation of all
components of the Iraqi people in determining the future of Iraq and equality among
them. It suggested a national conciliation government formed so as to restore security
and stability and avoid policies of sectarian agitation that were practiced in Iraq.

The cabinet welcomed the communique issued by the international anti-terrorism summit
that was held in London. It appealed to the international community to take necessary
arrangements to ensure women rights and protection against violence. It also appealed
for combined forces to fight terrorism that pose the most serious challenge to the
international community.

With respect to OPEC recent meeting in Vienna, the cabinet reviewed the decisions taken
to maintain the present production ceiling up to the end of the year.
