The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Adil Abdul-Mahdi attended at Al-Yamamah palace here yesterday a signing ceremony of agreements and memoranda of understanding and cooperation between the two governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Iraq.
A memorandum of understanding in the field of political consultations was co-signed by Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ali Al-Hakim.
A program of mutual recognition of product conformity certificates was co-signed by Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi and Iraqi Minister of Planning Dr. Nouri Sabah Al-Dulaimi.
An investment promotion and protection agreement was co-signed by Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi and Head of the Iraqi National Investment Authority Sami Raouf Al-Araji.
A memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of agriculture was co-signed by Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdurrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli and Iraqi Minister of Agriculture Dr. Salih bin Hussein Al-Husni.
A memorandum of understanding in the field of industry and mineral wealth was co-signed by Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals Dr. Salih Abdullah Al-Jaburi.
A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of oil and gas was co-signed by Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and Iraqi Minister of Oil Thamir Ghadban.
A memorandum of understanding in the field of electric energy was co-signed by Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and Iraqi Minister of Electricity, Dr. Luay Hamid Al-Khatib.
A memorandum of understanding in the field of maritime transport and a memorandum of understanding to regulate passenger operations and transportation of goods on land roads were co-signed by Saudi Minister of Transport Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi and Iraqi Minister of Transportation Eng. Abdullah Luaybi Al-Malki.
A memorandum of understanding on scientific and educational cooperation between the Saudi Ministry of Education and the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Ministry of Education and the Iraqi Ministry of Education were co-signed by Saudi Minister of Education Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh and Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Qusay Abdul Wahab Al-Suhail.
A memorandum of understanding on cultural cooperation was co-signed by Saudi Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet Mohammed bin Abdulmalik Al Al-Sheikh and Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Qusay Abdul Wahab Al-Suhail.
A technical cooperation program was co-signed by Governor of the Saudi Standards, Meterology and Quality Organization Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi and Technical Undersecretary of Iraqi Ministry of Planning Dr. Maher Hammadi Jouhan.
A memorandum of understanding to study the feasibility of the electrical grid was co-signed by Chairman of the Saudi Electricity Company Dr. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Sultan, and Iraqi Minister of Electricity Dr. Luay Hamid Al-Khatib.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Dr. Mansour bin Meteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the State and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Minister of the State for Foreign Affairs; Khalid bin Abdurrahman Al-Isa, Minister of the State and Chief of the Royal Court; Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance; Turki bin Abdullah Al-Shabanah, Minister of Media, a number of senior officials and the Iraqi Prime Minister's accompanying delegation.
