A committee of Shura Council suggested increasing of working hours for government employees to eight hours per day five days a week. Increasing of working hours would increase production and reduces working hours gap between the public and private sectors so that Saudi candidates will be attracted by the private sector. There will be less need for overtime work. Savings on overtime budget can be utilized for training.
