Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the President of Turkmenistan hold talks, attend signing ceremony of nine agreements and memos

Riyadh,  SPA :

 The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the President of Turkmenistan Gurban Goli Mohammadov held at Al-Yamama palace in Riyadh a round of talks, and attended a signing ceremony of nine agreements and memoranda on cooperation between the two countries.

 At the outset of the meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed the President of Turkmenistan in his second country the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishing him a good stay.

 He said the president s visit comes as a sign of further enhancing the relations between the two countries in all fields, particularly the commercial, investment, oil, gas and energy sector, agriculture and livestock, and tourism as well as coordination of positions towards combating of terrorism and extremism.

 The monarch praised the outcome of Turkmenistan s policies, including the country s neutrality, respect of good neighborhood principle, and support of the Military Islamic Alliance to combat terrorism, leading to the country s political stability and economic growth.

 He expressed hope that the world community would succeed to find a solution to the Syrian crisis according to Geneva statement and UN resolution No. 2254 and that the consultations among Yemeni parties would lead to solving the crisis according to the Gulf initiative and outcomes of the national dialogue and the UN resolution No. 2216. He also said we call on Iran to stop intervening in the domestic affairs of the region s countries, and supporting the militias and armed factions .

Concluding his speech, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed confidence that relations and cooperation between the two countries in all fields would be enhanced towards achieving a better partnership between the two countries in a way that best serve the two countries interests, welcoming him again and wishing the meeting steady success.

 For his part, the President of Turkmenistan expressed happiness to visit the Kingdom and have a meeting with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, thanking the monarch for warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to him and the accompanying delegation.

 He confirmed the firmness of the bilateral relations between the two countries characterized by yielding fruitful cooperation in all fields, including economic and commercial cooperation.

 He pointed to his country's keenness on developing all aspects of cooperation between the two countries and supporting the serious efforts aiming to achieve security and peace in the region and the entire world.

 Then, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and aspects of cooperation between the two countries and reviewed the developments at the regional and international arenas.

 Then, in the attendance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Turkmenistan's President, nine agreements, memorandums of understanding and cooperation programs were signed between the governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkmenistan.

 An agreement on cooperation in the security field was signed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister, on the Saudi side while the Minister of Defense and the State's Security Secretary of Turkmenistan Yaylim Perdiv signed for his country.

 A memorandum of understanding in the field of sports was signed by Prince Abdullah bin Musaed bin Abdulaziz, General President of Youths Welfare, on the Saudi side while the Head of the Sports Committee Kakabye Siddove of Turkmenistan signed for his country.

An agreement on evading dual taxation was signed on the Saudi side by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Minister of Finance, and his Turkmenistan's counterpart Mohammed Goli Mohammadov.

 A memo on financing of projects in Turkmenistan between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Saudi Development Fund was signed by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, who is also chairman of the board of directors of SDF and Raheem Berdi Jubarov, President of the State's Bank Board of Directors for External Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan.

 A Memo in the field of commerce and industry was signed by Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabee'a, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, while Doran Moradov, the Minister of Turkmenistan for commerce and external economic relations signed for his country.

 A memo on political consultations was signed by Adel Al-Jubeir, Foreign Minister, on behalf of Saudi Arabia and Rashid Meridov, Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, on behalf of his country.

 A memo on cooperation in the scientific and educational fields was signed by the minister of education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa on the Saudi side while Borly Agamor Adov, the minister of education of Turkmenistan, signed for his country.

 An agreement on air services was signed by the Chief of the Civil Aviation authority Suleiman bin Abdullah Al-Hamdan and Merdan Ayadiov, Head of the National Agency for Turkmenistan airlines.

 A cooperation program between Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies at the ministry of foreign affairs and the International relations institute of the Turkmenistan's foreign ministry was concluded and signed by Dr. Abdulkareem Al-Dakheel, Director General of Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies, while Baba Dhahrove, director of the International relations institute of the Turkmenistan's foreign ministry, signed for his country.

 The talks were attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister; Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Minister of Finance; Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabee'a, Minister of Commerce and Industry; and senior protocol officials.

 The accompanying delegation of Turkmenistan's President also attended the talks.
