The Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA) has launched its communication campaign (Mena W Fina) which corresponds to “From Us and Within Us” in English, under the patronage of Chairman of the LCGPA's Board of Directors and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, with the aim of raising awareness of the concept of local content and its components. This campaign contributes to achieve one of the Authority's strategic functions that are based on enabling excellence and raising awareness.
The LCGPA aims to launch a series of campaigns to raise awareness about the local content in a simplified manner in order to clarify its impact on all economic sectors, including members of society as well as the private and the public sectors.
These campaigns focus on spreading the culture of local content, which is considered a national agenda, and is an essential contributor to meeting and covering local needs, developing the national economy and enhancing its sustainability in line with national visions and plans.
For his part, Al-Khorayef affirmed that the campaign reflects the local content's high priority stipulated in the Kingdom's Vision 2030, for its pivotal role in diversifying sources of income and maximizing the value of non-oil GDP, in addition to creating new industries and generating more job opportunities for the citizens, and contributing to the localization of supply chains locally and attracting more foreign investment.
