In its meeting today, the cabinet congratulated The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques on
his successful initiative and endeavors that resulted in restoration of the brotherly
relations between Qatar and Egypt. Chaired by Crown Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the
cabinet appreciated the relentless efforts and achievements of the Saudi security forces
in combating terrorism. While commending the statement issued by the signatories to
Geneva convention for protection of civilians, the cabinet stressed the need to
implement the convention and international law in the occupied Palestinian territories
as an important condition for establishing of just and lasting peace. The cabinet
condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a school in north west of Pakistan.
Upon review of the temporary problems encountered by the world oil market, the cabinet
renewed its trust in the strength of the Saudi economy and its ability to withstand
temporary oil revenue fluctuations.
