Saudi Arabia's Chairmanship of GHWP Renewed for a Fourth Year

Riyadh,SPA:
The member states of the Global Harmonization Working Party (GHWP) of Medical Devices have renewed the selection of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to chair the organization during 2021 for the fourth year in a row, under the chairmanship of Executive Vice President for Medical Products and Devices at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority Eng. Ali bin Mohsen Al-Dalaan.
This selection comes as a continuation of the pioneering role that the Kingdom plays, represented by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority during its chairmanship of the organization during the current year, in the fields of legislation and regulations for medical devices and products. This had an impact in creating an environment of harmony and rapprochement between many countries of the world.
The GHWP had a role during the Coronavirus pandemic this year, as the Kingdom led coordination between the scientific and technical work teams of international organizations, such as the World Health Organization, to work on confronting the pandemic. It also sponsored the international meeting of scientific and technical teams at the organization, under the patronage of Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority Dr. Hisham bin Saad Al-Jadhey, on the sidelines of the Kingdom presidency of the G20 summit.
