Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, chaired held here yesterday 17th consultative meeting of the interior ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States.
Before the consultative meeting, memorial photos were taken on this occasion.
Addressing the meeting, the Crown Prince conveyed greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the participants and his permanent aspiration to achieve security of our countries and peoples.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif highlighted the security and stability that experienced by GCC states, as result to achieve economic, social and cultural development, at a time when most of our region's countries witness turbulent security and economic conditions.
He called for doubling efforts and strengthening process of cooperation as well as expanding horizons of continuous consultation and coordination between our GCC agencies.
"We are facing great challenges and unprecedented and serious criminal phenomena. Maintaining security is a joint national and religious requirement," the Crown prince added.
Crown Prince Mohammed expressed thanks to the security personnel for their sacrifices in the service of religion, homelands and peoples.
GCC Secretary General Abdullatif Al-Zayani expressed deep pride of joint security cooperation between GCC states which achieved advanced level of security services in succeeding in the fight against crime and terrorism.
Al-Zayani said that GCC is following with interest of emergency risk plans in GCC states, and continue to hold specialized training workshops in order to raise the capability and awareness as well as to intensify joint coordination.
Then, the GCC interior ministers held a closed session.
Then, the GCC ministers attended a luncheon banquet held by the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior.
The consultative meeting was attended by a number of officials.
