Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has chosen Prince
Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as the Deputy Crown Prince and has appointed him
as the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior.
Further decrees by King Salman confirmed that all current members of the Cabinet shall
remain in their respective positions under King Salman's chairmanship and Crown Prince
Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as Deputy Premier.
Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Tuwaijri, Chief of the Royal Court and Private Secretary of the
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, is relieved of his position.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is appointed Chief of the Royal Court
and Private Advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at the rank of the minister
in addition to his current position.
Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Suwailem, Deputy Chief of the Crown Prince's Court, is relieved
of his position and appointed as Chief of the Crown Prince's Court at the rank of the
minister.
The Royal Court issued the following statement:
'Based on nomination of Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as the Deputy
Crown Prince, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud called
to give the Pledge of Allegiance to Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz
Al Saud during the Pledge of Allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and
Crown Prince at Governance Palace in Riyadh after Isha prayers of Friday, 03/04/1436H.'
