Second Deputy Premier chairs cabinet meeting

Riyadh- SPA

Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier, Advisor and Special Envoy of
the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah
Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon.

At the outset of the session, the Cabinet praised the holding of the Day of Solidarity
with the Syrian children ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah
bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Scheduled on Tuesday at the national level, the event is designed
to meet the needs of thousands of Syrian children living in difficult tragic
circumstances. KSA contributes along with the international humanitarian community to
reducing the deterioration of living conditions for Syrian children displaced inside
Syria and refugees in neighboring countries.

The Cabinet welcomed the results of the visits of Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al
Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the
Empire of Japan. The meetings and greements he signed in various fields will be in the
interest of the Kingdom, the two countries and their peoples.

The Second Deputy Premier briefed the Cabinet on his talks with Prince Charles, Crown
Prince of the United Kingdom and Prince of Wales, commending close relationships between
the two friendly countries.

The Cabinet reviewed  the country's attractive economic environment, various
investments, and continuing economic growth, thanks to the Government of the Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques for its attention and keenness on all matters of interest to the
homeland and its citizens. The cabinet reviewed economic activities during last week
including bilateral business meetings with Ireland, Argentina, Spain and Japan.

The Council of Ministers welcomed the unanimous passing by the UN Security Council on
Saturday of a resolution demanding the lifting of the siege on Syrian cities, stopping
the attacks and raids on civilians and facilitating the entry of humanitarian convoys.
Hopefully this decision will contribute to alleviating the tragedy of the Syrian people
and achieving their aspirations to ensure sparing their lives, stability, unity and
sovereignty of the Syrian territories.

The Council reiterated the Kingdom's condemnation of the two recent terrorist bombings
in Beirut that claimed innocent lives.
