Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Eraini, advisor to MCIT minister and   supervisor general of the  IT national plan said: "Electronic Training Convoys" initiatives is part of the MCIT national plan "Transformation" Projects which is nearing the end of its second year. Designed to contribute to computer and Internet literacy, specially in remote areas, the initiative comprises a convoy of vehicles loaded with mobile computer laboratories   linked to the Internet equipped with  software and training packages. 

The campaign targets computer illiterate communities including primary and intermediate school students and citizens of rural areas. 

The convoy travelled 115K kilometers, covered 11 regions , provided training to11564 students in 167 centers and villages.
