Crown Prince chairs cabinet meeting

Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet session Monday afternoon at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh.

The Cabinet reviewed reports on developments of the situation in a number of Arab countries, the latest regional and international developments and the discussions, consultations and contacts that took place during the week.

The Cabinet strongly condemned attempts to undermine security and stability in the Kingdom of Bahrain reiterating the condemnation by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of the acts of terrorism that threaten the safety of citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Cabinet, then, discussed domestic affairs. It highly valued the contents of the statement by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the opening of the first year of the sixth session of Majlis Al-Shura and his assertion that everyone's goal - after depending on Almighty Allah - is to activate the work of Majlis Al-Shura consciously on the basis of rationality without haste or noise and the gradual development away from any influences.

The Cabinet was briefed on the conferences, exhibitions, international forums, programs and scientific, economic, health, cultural and sports activities held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this week, lauding the directives included in the statement by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud before the Third International Education Forum and Exhibition in its third session, and the opening of the First International Conference to Employ Technology to Serve People with Special Needs.
