Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom, affirmed that the Saudi-British relations - spanning a century - have been characterized by mutual respect, concern for their common interests and shared values of peace and stability in the region and the world.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the occasion of the official visit paid by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of Ministers Council and Minister of Defense, to United Kingdom, the Ambassador said that this visit marks a new era of distinguished bilateral relations and will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening those relations between the two countries.
Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf said that the world is witnessing geopolitical changes that call for coordination, consultation and serious action to ensure stability, strengthen the axis of peace and moderation, and prevent the forces of extremism from dragging the region into new conflicts.
Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf said that the Saudi-British relations are likely to be further developed with the great transformation of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and a comprehensive development aimed at moving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia into a new phase of economic, social and cultural development.
In this context, he called on British companies to take advantage of the investment opportunities provided by the national trend towards diversifying sources of income in the Saudi Arabia and reducing the dependence on oil as a major source, pointing out the growth witnessed by the Saudi economy, as one of the 20 largest economies in the world since 2010, and the third fastest growing market in the world for UK's exports and imports, highlighting the enormous potential for growth of trade and economic investment partnership between the two countries.
