Eastern Region Chamber of Commerce arranged a seminar recently on environment. Speakers
warned against traditional waste disposal practices and called for necessary
legislation.  Estimated at 50 million tons in 2012 at the global level, and  30% growth by 2017, electronic waste pose serious risk to the health of human beings.
Recycling of electronic junk is a lucrative investment opportunity for the private sector
to avail.
