Communication and Information Technology Commission said some of the existing IP supported communication applications do not meet regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia. In a statement issued today, the Commission said it told licensed service providers to work with the applications vendors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Commission assured the public that it is keen to proliferate CIT services to all users in Saudi Arabia within applicable rules and regulations, while maintaining the values and principles, protecting the rights of all parties and protecting the society against any adverse aspects harmful to the public interest.
