Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Yamamah Palace here yesterday Mexico's President Enrique Pena Nieto.
President Nieto was also received by Prince Faisal bin Bander bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region.
President Nieto shook hands with Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Cabinet's Member and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage; Prince Abdullah bin Musaed bin Abdulaziz, General President of Youth Welfare; Prince Mansour bin Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura; and a number of ministers and commanders of military sectors.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques shook hands with the official delegation accompanying Mexico's President.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Mexico's President went to the main reception hall at the Royal Court, where President Nieto shook hands with princes, ministers and senior officials.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques held a luncheon banquet in honor of President Nieto and the accompanying delegation.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held official talks session at Al-Yamamah Palace here yesterday with Mexico's President Enrique Pena Nieto.
At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques decorated President Nieto with King Abdulaziz Medal. For his part, President Nieto decorated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques with the Order of the Aztec Eagle.
The talks session addressed bilateral relations, aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries and the developments on the international arena.
Following the talks session and in the presence of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the President of Mexico, nine agreements, memoranda of understanding and technical cooperation prgram were signed between the Governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Mexico.
A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of tourism was co-signed by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, and Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Claudia Ruiz Massieu.
A security cooperation agreement in the field of transnational organized crime in the two countries was co-signed by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, and Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Claudia Ruiz Massieu.
A memorandum of understanding in the energy sector between the two countries was co-signed by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi and Mexican Secretary of Energy Pedro Joaquin Coldwell.
An agreement to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion was co-signed by Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Claudia Ruiz Massieu.
A memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Fund for Development and the Mexican National Bank for Foreign Trade was co-signed by Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf, and Director General of the External Commercial Bank Alejandro Diaz.
A technical cooperation program in the field of specifications, standards, quality was co-signed by Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, and Mexican Secretary of Economy Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal.
General agreements in economic, trade, investment, educational, scientific, technical, youth and sports fields were co-signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, and Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Claudia Ruiz Massieu.
A memorandum of cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research was co-signed by Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa and Mexican Secretary of Public Education Aurelio Nuno.
Air Services Agreement between the two countries was co-signed President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation Sulaiman Al-Hamdan, and Mexican Secretary of Communications and Transport Gerardo Ruiz.
