Governor of Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) Dr. Abdulaziz Salem Al-Rwais has inaugurated the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2018 held from 19 to 23 March 2018.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is considered a strategic partner to achieve the goals of WSIS Forum 2018 and a key player in promoting the culture of excellence and innovation in ICT sector at the international level.
In his speech, CITC Governor said: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen on the development of the information society and empowerment of digital transformation. It exerted several efforts to invest in its human and financial resources and worked to achieve pioneer records in this field through the Kingdom Vision 2030.
He added that the fourth industrial revolution that we are witnessing today will be a key factor in achieving the Kingdom Vision 2030.
WSIS Forum 2018 is co-organized by ITU, UNESCO, UNDP and UNCTAD.
