Director-General of Makkah Education Department Opens the Ninth National Robotics Competition

The Director-General of Makkah Education Department, Mr. Mohamed bin Mahdi Al-Harthi opened today the final stage of the Ninth National Robotic Competition for Boys which was held in Makkah Hilton. The number of participants in the competition is 370 students from 40 education departments in Saudi Arabia. The Director-General highlighted that this competition aims to achieve the goals of the education policy in Saudi Arabia, and to develop the scientific and practical experiences in the robotic field to empower them in the educational materials. Also, this competition provides the opportunity to think and plan for the future projects, clarifies and links the scientific and engineering applications in an integrated technical work, develops the scientific research skills such as inquiry, observation, experimentation and analysis, enhances the scientific skills, trains the students to represent Saudi Arabia in regional and international competitions, and develops the students' abilities and skills in the general education stages which is considered a significant part in the overall process.
