The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held here yesterday at his palace a session of official talks with King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
During the session, they discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly those relating to Jerusalem and the dangerous repercussions with regard to the United States decision recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the moving of its embassy to Jerusalem. The US decision will complicate the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in addition to the security and stability in the region.
During the meeting, they also asserted the necessity to intensify and coordinate the Arab, Islamic and international efforts in order to protect the historic and firm rights of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, in addition to the importance of finding a just and last solution for the Palestinian Cause in accordance with the international relevant resolutions and Arab Peace Initiative.
They also reviewed the Saudi-Jordanian relations in various fields and ways of developing them. They also discussed ways of coordinating efforts in combatting terrorism.
The session of talks was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Mansour bin Meteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the State, Member of the Cabinet and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; His Highness Prince Khaled bin Faisal bin Turki, Saudi ambassador to Jordan; His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet; Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance, and the Jordanian King s accompanying delegation.
