Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Receives UNESCO Director General

Jeddah, SPA:

 The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Salam palace here today the Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Irina Bokova.

 During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between the Kingdom and UNESCO in the fields of education, science and culture, and reviewed the Organization's various activities, including preserving the world heritage.

 On her part, Bokova commended the Kingdom's role in supporting dialogue between different cultures and civilizations, as well as supporting UNESCO's works and educational and cultural programs.

 The audience was attended by Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani and the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to UNESCO, Dr. Ibrahim bin Yusuf Al-Balawi.
