Crown Prince briefed on a report of UN council for human rights in its 22nd edition

Riyadh- SPA:

The Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the deputy premiere and minister of defense, presided the Cabinet’s session held yesterday at Yamamah palace in Riyadh.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) after the session, Minister of culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Mohee Al-Deen Khoja, pointed out that the Cabinet illustrated latest updates on Arab, Regional and International arenas.
It discussed the worsening situation in Syria. In this regard, the Cabinet stressed what recently concluded by the Syria’s Friends Conference held in Italy. That conference confirmed the importance of providing more political and financial supports to Syrian people to defend themselves.
The Cabinet also illustrated the outcomes of the 126th edition of the GCC Foreign Ministers conference which ended yesterday in Riyadh.
On the international arena, the Cabinet discussed the report of UN council for human rights in its 22nd edition held in Geneva. It emphasized what was mentioned in the Kingdom’s speech in this conference pointing out the necessity of the international community to fight all aspects of violence and radicalism. It showed the Initiative of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz for dialogue among all people with different religions and cultures. The initiative appeared in the inauguration of King Abdullah Center for world Dialogue in Vienna which is dedicated to ostracize violence and spread culture of tolerance, co-existence and respect for the variety of cultures and religions.
Locally, the Cabinet pointed out the Crown Prince’s inauguration of “Historical photos in Saudi press” exhibition which came in parallel with the International book fair. This reflects the attention and care attained by the Crown Prince towards national heritage and history of the Kingdom, the Cabinet said.
