Issuing a Certificate of Compliance for Disbursing the Breast-Milk Substitute Subsidy

An e-service whereby the Saudi Food and Drug Authority grants importers and producers, upon their request, a certificate of conformity with the requirements for disbursing a subsidy for imported and locally produced breast milk substitutes, intended for the age group from birth to one year of age only, and approved by the authority's release permission, which is characterized by a content of at least a percentage of The milk protein in it is not less than 11%, and the percentage of milk fat in it is not less than 8%, and it is free from added flavors, and for the benefit of all citizens and residents.
- Log in to the electronic system.
- Submit the request, and follow up on its status.
- The importer / local food establishment must have a registration in the electronic system for registering food establishments with the authority.
- The state of registration of breast-milk substitute products for which a certificate is required for subsidy purposes should be “Registered” in the electronic system for registering products with the Authority.
- The products must meet the requirements of the relevant approved technical regulations.
- To prove by laboratory test that the content of the products is not less than 11% of milk protein, the milk fat content shall not be less than 8%.
- The products shall be free from added flavors.
- That the products be of the items designated for the age group from birth to one year of age only, and they meet the requirements according to the telegram of His Excellency the Minister of Finance No. 4897, dated 25/05/1440 AH.
- The importer / the local food establishment of the authority’s branch in the consignment’s port of arrival must submit a request to grant him a certificate of conformity for the payment of the subsidy for breast milk substitutes according to the attached form No. 1 with a certified check with the fees of the laboratory examination of the private laboratory to be subject to the assessment of the proportion of milk protein and the assessment of the proportion of milk fat.
